An Online Retail Survey, released by Columinate provides an insight into the South African online shopping market.
The survey shows what South African consumers are buying online, who they are buying it from, and their level of satisfaction with online retailers.
Reflected in the results of the satisfaction scores, with the top 2 online retailers considered to be outlets of luxury goods.
When shoppers were prompted about why they like shopping online, convenience, saving time and saving money were top reasons to shop online.

“The score is determined by calculating the number of highly satisfied users versus the percentage of highly dissatisfied users,” explained Columinate CEO Henk Pretorius.
